What is a Bang?

A bang is essentially an event where writers and artists are paired to create a collaborative piece. Unlike the common zine, bangs are free and digital; often works are uploaded to AO3 in a collection with the accompanying art.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is the bang 18+ only?
> Yes, the bang is 18+ only, due to the interest check favoring NSFW and Dead Dove works being allowed. Anyone found under 18 will be kicked, banned, and blocked from the event.Is the bang pro-ship/anti-harassment?
> Due to the nature of the source material, the bang will be pro-ship/anti-harassment. If this bothers you, you are in no way obligated to participate in the bang.What are the requirements for writers?
> The minimum word count is 2.5K words and the maximum is 10K words.What are the requirements for artists?
> The minimum is one gray-scale or fully rendered piece, and the maximum is 1 short comic or 2-3 fully rendered pieces.What happens if I need to drop?
> In the event that you need to drop from the bang, let a moderator know ASAP. Mods will then reach out to pinch hitters, or folks that signed up to pinch in if someone drops. They will either come up with a new pitch entirely, or use the previous tags/tropes proposed and create their own version.
